Today: Another great historical event in Christianity beliefs: Ascension of Jesus. Ascension of Jesus was happened in 40 days after Easter. And to celebrate it, all the Christians over the world always hold a day of celebration in the 6th Thursday (always Thursday) after Easter celebration (which is held in the 3rd day after Jesus’ crucifixion). Here is a painting by Benjamin West which I regard as the most dynamic artwork of Jesus’ ascension to heaven.
